Located in the heart of the South Carolina campus is the home field of the Gamecock men’s and women’s soccer teams, Eugene E. Stone III Stadium.

The stadium, which debuted in 1996, was made possible by the $1 million gift given by the late Eugene E. Stone III. Stone, who passed away in 1997, was a Carolina graduate and Chairman of Stone Manufacturing Co. Inc., the parent company of UMBRO International. The surface of Stone Stadium was completely replaced during the summer of 2009. A state-of-the-art irrigation system was installed, along with new sod for the entire field surface.

Stone Stadium’s west side houses permanent stands that hold 5,000 fans. It is equipped with a 70′ by 8′ press box with a camera deck on top. The press box houses both the brand new scoreboard operating system and the public address system, as well as room to comfortably seat members of the media and support staff.

The facility includes two team rooms, an officials’ dressing room, a concession stand and restrooms for both men and women on each side of the stadium.
